Some time ago @dc_collectibles unveiled prototypes of an upcoming series of action figures which depicted the classic #DCcomics heroes and villains but as Mexican wrestlers! I've talked about this before, but before the current age of superhero movies, #LuchaLibre was as close to live-action comic books as we got. It takes the costumes, the outrageous stories, the performance of professional wrestling, and amplifies it! Remember in the late 90s/early 00s when The Undertaker and Kane would fight, what a dramatic showdown that was? Okay imagine that, but where they take it from the ring , to the movie screen, and ultimately they have to team up to fight mummies or werewolves or something. I know, it's insane, but when you look into the career of lucha libre legends like El Santo or the Blue Demon, that's exactly what was going on.
Anyway, recently they cancelled the line so all we get is the gorgeous designs from the prototypes, and dreams of storylines that could have played out! In my mourning, i drew the trinity in those #LuchaExplosiva designs,
