THE PERFECT WORKOUT👇 - Structuring your workout is paramount. A poor structure can lead to a subpar workout which will lead to subpar results. Structuring a workout properly also ensures your body is primed and ready to tackle it with intensity. The first order of business is a good warm up of at least 10-15 minutes which includes light cardio work, mobility work, dynamic stretching and moving, muscle activation, and central nervous system prep - ➡️ next we start with the heaviest and most taxing compound lifts as these are the ones we need to be the freshest for so we can overload them properly (e.g. squats, deadlifts, incline presses, overhead presses, barbell rows, etc.) and we still include warm up sets in there too for each - ➡️ following the compounds are our ancillary work exercises which are certainly much less taxing and serve to add some volume to lagging muscles such as biceps, triceps, calves and maybe even deltoids (shoulders) - ➡️ core work is often neglected but is something that should be done 2-3x/week and I tend to do it after ancillary exercises - ➡️ next we have an optional cardio session which, as I said in a recent post, should be done after strength training (with the exception of a light cardio warm up) or on seperate days - ➡️ finally the neglected cool down is essential to promote recovery and it is here where I believe release work is great and for some flexibility work could be of benefit. #frontsquat Stretching the triceps, forearm and lats (like this ⬆️) before frontsquats are absolutely crucial. • Lesser upper body flexibility needs to be compassionate with lower body mobility. 👉🏼 Especially on the FS • You can get away with poor UB flexibility, but only to a certain degree, literally. • There is not ☝🏼 exercise which comes in my mind in that performing a poor technique makes a exercise so much harder & attractive for injuries than compared with a good form! • Don't get me wrong. A good lower mobility will benefit you the most, BUT don't underestimate the wonders a flexible UB can do to you. #stayflexible

🔥Why you need a strong core🔥⠀ .⠀ ❤ via @dancudes⠀ .⠀ A strong core is absolutely everything in my opinion. Way too often, people focus and prioritize on the wrong thing in the gym which is get strong and jacked as hell by lifting heavy loads and slamming the weights. Now that's great and I agree, lifting heavy is awesome, but the priority for all gym goers should be a strong core for both performance reasons and health reasons. So before you start lifting heavy, let's ensure you can do so safely and reap the benefits of the heavy loads. Here is why you need a strong core:⠀ .⠀ 👉You can lift heavier: when you have sa strong core and your spinal column and body is stabilized, you reduce energy leaks in the kinetic chain meaning. This leads to stronger, more powerful contractions of the muscles required to lift the load and reduces compensation from other muscles, usually synergistic muscles.⠀ 👉Reduce the likelihood of injury: by ensuring your core is strong, your spine is going to be stabilized throughout everyday activities and through various exercises which reduces stress on the back as well as compensation from other muscles due to poor form which can lead to overuse injuries especially if the muscles that are compensating are not meant to handle heavy loads placed on them.⠀ 👉To have a healthy back: one of the biggest problems in our world is lower back injuries and while that is often caused by tight hip flexor a and poor posture, it is also caused by a weak abdominal wall and deep spinal stabilizers.⠀ .⠀ Don't neglect the core. MUSCLE GROWTH HABITS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There are many misconceptions when it comes to building muscle. Most of us have been conditioned to believe that we need to kill ourselves with heavy weights all the time, and live in the gym. There are better ways to do it. Here are several habits you’ll want to incorporate into your life: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1.) Lift at least 3 times a week. Focus mostly on compound movements, making sure each major body part is targeted at least 2-3x a week. Work with heavy, medium, and light weights with different rep ranges. Your aim is not to kill yourself each workout session, but to have steady progress over time. Some workouts will be heavy and intense, and others will be light and easy. It’s essential that you follow a workout program that has those elements built in. 2.) Be conscious of your protein consumption. Develop a “protein lens” for which you view your food. You want to consume at least .7g-1g per lb of bodyweight. Ensure you have a high protein source with every meal you eat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3.) Eat enough calories. What makes this easier is to not skip any meals, and to eat until you’re full each and every time. I recommend tracking your calories to ensure you get enough everyday, otherwise you’re just shooting in the dark. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4.) Get enough sleep. Muscle grows in your sleep, not in the gym. To ensure optimal recovery and growth, allow yourself to have 7-9 hours of quality sleep every night. In fact, everyone, regardless of their goal, should be doing both as they each have their own benefits let alone being lean and fit. - ⭕Cardio can reduce risk of numerous health conditions, keep your heart healthy and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, build aerobic endurance and even have benefits towards your strength training (better aerobic system conditioning means less time needed to restore energy between sets of a strength training bout). - ⭕Strength training has the known benefits of building muscle mass and strength, but also is important for bone density and reducing the risk of osteoporosis, improved mechanical function of the body in day-to-day tasks, and can increase resting metabolic rate (more muscle mass means more calories burned at rest). The difference between these two photos is 90 days and 32 lbs. we all have reasons why we let ourselves get that way on the right, but we all have a reason (spouse, children, ourselves) to change it and strive to be a better version of who we are. I doubted myself and my potential every chance I was given. I lacked the positive reinforcement and self belief to be better and I was defeated. I woke up one day, short of breath and pain in my back. I am 28 years old. I shouldn’t be that way. So I made a conscious decision that morning to not live my life that way anymore. I never looked up to athletes, or celebrities. My heroes were great figures throughout history for various reasons such as Marcus Aurelius, Cyrus the great, salahhuddin Al Ayubbi, and of course, my beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS). It was the idea of “how would they look at me right now?” That kept the fire burning over the past 3 months. I hope this finds someone, maybe with the same personal and mental issues as myself, or maybe not, and gives them just that sliver of motivation to know we are all going through things, but we put our nose to the grindstone and push on. “I can show you what it feels like The moment they want you defeated but yet you still fight”

Just some T-bar rows from today’s workout. This is definitely one of my top movements for adding on some size in your back! The key is to try and go heavy while main raining proper form. Make sure your hips are pushed back and you are hinged forward at the hips. You also want to make sure when you are pulling up that you are pretty much pulling right into your waist.
