If you don’t take a bro selfie at the bro gym did your workout even matter? Nope. Saturday I did do a really dope workout that I feel like you should try because it was fun + challenging. 5rounds of the following. Score reps of each round. Keep track of it so you can re do this later and see your improvements. 1 min hang power snatch. 👉🏼if you don’t have that do kb or db hang power snatches. 1 min wall balls. 1 mins assault bike for calories. 1 min rest. Move fast and with purpose the goal is big sets and lots of reps.

💥 FEET WIDE FOOT PLACEMENT 💥 - This is something that will help you if you're struggling with leg drive, stability, or keeping your hips down on the pad - I see many lifters take a feet close "leg extension" type approach to leg drive. While that's not wrong, or bad, I do think often times it leaves things to be desired - I teach this feet out, wide style of leg drive not as the end all be all, but simply as an alternative option which I think is a lot easier for the large majority to gain an appreciation for the details of leg drive - Opening your stance is like opening the base of a tripod. The stability gained from doing so is going to be immense, and for an equipped lifter, this can be a huge deal! - You're also able to engage your hips to a much larger degree here. Instead of simply thinking about a leg extension which heavily relies on the quads, we can tap into an even larger muscle grip, the hips! Think about a squat here. We are able to drive hips open and drive back harder than ever. You will feel the focus shift doing this! - You don't necessarily need to tuck your feet back, you just need to focus on using your hips to drive, and Male sure that drive is off the pad. Even if the calf can be a stubborn body part for most. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The calf is made up of two muscle groups the gastrocnemius and soleus. They can be broken down a bit further into other muscle groups but for simplistic sake the one that everyone cares about is the gastrocnemius (used for running and jump) and the soleus lies beneath the gastrocnemius (used for standing and walking). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What makes the difference in targeting the two different muscle groups is whether the leg is in a straight position and our knees being in a bent position. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When the knee is bent, as when doing seated calf raises, the gastroc is unable to fully stretch and, therefore, unable to strongly contract. In these bent-leg movements, only the soleus is targeted. When the leg is fully straightened, however, the gastroc is brought back into the action. FEAR IS A LIAR If I ever miss a Monday, it pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the week to be lackluster in the important areas. Getting up early, getting in my workout, starting laundry... that’s my jam. I’ve always wanted to be home to take care of the house ((and babies one day)) and the dogs. Sometimes things happen in life, depression swoops in, you believe lies about yourself so you don’t work as hard as you know you can, you get stuck in a deep hole and you’re not sure how to get yourself out. One day you decide that you don’t want to let those things win anymore and even if you don’t believe in yourself yet, you push back a little bit and you take that first step, you put on the workout clothes and say ok I’m going to do this today! In that moment is where true strength is found and never have you been so strong! It’s never too late to start or to start fighting for you. Get up, get out of bed, wash your hair and your face, do something nice for yourself and find your strength because the voices that are telling you that you’re stuck-those voices.. that’s just fear talking and guess what? I’ve got great news! Fear is a LIAR! So whatever you believed yesterday, whatever those things were... I’m here to crush them with you! FEAR IS A LIAR-let’s prove it together!
