Lisa, I’ve already got so much on my plate… I don’t have TIME for anything else…
Me- How much time do you think it takes?
I hear this one A LOT when it comes to people looking for a solution to create income by starting an online business. .
I’d say the minimum amount of time needed to be successful in growing Your online business in the beginning is 7 – 10 hours a week. In my opinion, 1 hour a day, 7 days a week, or 2 hours a day, 5 days a week is essential when first starting out as a Coach.
It is very important to understand how this business model works and that in beginning you will work many hours, but get paid very little. But as time goes by, the amount of hours you spend will stay the same, but your checks will get bigger, if you are doing the work. .
So people don’t understand the compound effect and give up way too soon because they’ve worked hard for a few months, but aren’t seeing the monetary reward.
What is more important than the actual number of hours you spend on your business is CONSISTENCY. Determine how many hours per day/week you are able to spend on your business, and set aside specific days and times that you will be doing business building activities. Then stick your schedule.
(Don’t worry I run a new coach mentorship each month to show you exactly what to do ). .
Doing just a little each day, over time, will have a huge impact on your business. So many Coaches get signed up, are excited and pumped, and spend a couple hours a day, everyday, for the first month, and yield very little results. Then they get discouraged, and give up. It is very important to set a realistic schedule, one that will not burn you out over time. Look at building your business as marathon, not a sprint.
Just like your exercise routine wouldn’t be working out for 7 hours on Sundays, and taking the other 6 days off…
You should approach your business with the same concept. You will get much better results spending a hour a day on building your business, than you would spending j7 hours 1 day a week. I built my business in little 15-45 minute cracks in my day around working full time and being a mom!
