It’s the flu season, and the most common question I have been receiving is how I support my immune system during the fall and winter months. Here are foods I will incorporate into my diet to bolster my immune system or use when I get sick. Swipe to see what supplements I have in my arsenal that I use when I do get sick. Ginger: an anti-nausea, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic herb that has stomachic, expectorant, anti-tussive, and digestive enhancing properties. It’s the weekend! 🙌🏻 But with that comes lots & lots of temptations. Dinners, parties, family time often revolves around food & drink. So how can we stay on track while still having fun? Here’s a few things I’ve learned in my own health journey that I hope will help you too: ✅ Have a plan. If you know you’re going to dinner, plan ahead and look online at the menu. Choose what items you think would fit best for your goals. Even if you plan on splurging, it’s still good to be intentional so you don’t go too far. ✅ Eat before the party or plan on bringing a healthy dish that you can eat. ✅ Bring your water bottle or have a sparkling water, coffee, or tea if you’re trying to avoid alcohol. Having a beverage that you enjoy in your hand helps & keeps people from offering something to you. ✅ Make it about the people you’re with and the conversations, not the food. Pick non-food related activities to share in. ✅ Don’t be afraid to share with your family & friends that getting healthy is a priority for you. You’ll build in accountability that way and get an added support system. ✅ Be honest with yourself about your triggers and clear your house of foods & drinks you just can’t say no to. ✅ Even if you make a less than optimal choice, don’t give up the whole day or weekend. Just get back on track at your next meal. 🚫 Don’t let a few days on the weekend ruin a week’s worth of awesome progress. Happy weekending, party people! 💪🏻

I couldn’t go any lower. . My goal was to establish a 1 rep max deficit handstand push up. . Maybe you aren’t attempting this exercise but here are some things you can do to increase difficulty . I couldn’t go any lower but I could have: . 1. Added more reps 2. Slowed down the eccentric (down portion) 3. I could have paused for 5 seconds and the top, 5 seconds at the bottom . So next time you are wanting to make something harder without changing the exercise, consider those three options . Now go get after it

🥗The salad was considered a snack today and I only had 9 pts left to use for dinner and any later snacks. 🚨GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD IT IS!🚨 👌 Zero pts for the win!
