I've spent the past five days in the Hyundai Venue, the South Korean brand's latest compact crossover.
I'm just as confused as I'm certain you are about the Hyundai SUV line-up and indeed, the name of this car which shares no commonality with its Hawaiian-themed Kona sibling or its Latin-derived Creta cousin.
There's now the Venue, the Kona and the Creta below the Tucson. If we look at the dimensions, the Venue is slightly smaller than the Kona, meaning that this likely a 'new age' replacement for the Accent hatchback.
The Kona and Venue even share powertrains and when comparing apples with apples, offer similar space and have around a R20 000 discrepancy between their list prices, if we compare top-spec six-speed manual models.
The similarity between the models aside, the Venue and the new Kia Seltos are genuine Volkswagen T-Cross rival in terms of value, space and ride and drive quality. My full road test will be live later this week.
