Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? - If every time you train pull ups it looks like this: - jump up on the bar, squeeze out a handful of reps, rest, get 1-2 reps less, rest, then on your last set grind out a couple reps. - Then it’s time for a change of pace. - This type of training simply lacks the volume and variety to improve your current pull up abilities. - Here are 3 ways to spice up your training and improve your pull up game: - 1: Add weight. Simple adjustment here, increasing the intensity of your sets can help improve strength. - 2: Add slow eccentrics and isometric holds. This could mean pull yourself up and hold at the top for 5 seconds, or hold for 4 seconds then lower for 4 seconds, or lower for 30 seconds! Be creative with these, they are an INCREDIBLE tool for building size and strength. - 3: Use bands not for assistance, but for resistance. The increasing tension as the rep progresses forces a more forceful contraction needed to build the momentum to finish the rep. Guten Morgen!🌱 Habt ihr das ganze Drama mit den Gewichtsschwankungen von @pumping.sophia.thiel mitbekommen? Ich finde daran sieht man, wie sehr die Medien einen kaputt machen können und nur darauf warten, bis sie irgend etwas an einer Person kritisieren können. Ich habe mir das Video von ihr angeschaut und war geschockt, welche Bilder in der Presse gezeigt wurden als es hieß „Sophia Thiel außer Form?“ Sie war dort einfach nur nicht in Wettkampf Form sondern einfach ganz normal athletisch! Das ist völlig normal! Niemand kann das ganze Jahr über eine Wettkampf Form behalten. Für was denn auch, wenn man nicht mal auf die Bühne geht? Und dann passiert genau das, was auch ihr passiert ist. Man versucht diese Form die ganze Zeit zu halten. Doch weil man dennoch für jedes Gramm Fett mehr kritisiert wird, schafft man es irgendwann nicht mehr und das Gegenteil tritt ein. Ich hoffe sie wird sich davon in ihrer Auszeit gut erholen und die Medien lernen eventuell etwas daraus. Übrigens machte dieses Bild ein sehr netter Mann im Fitnessstudio von mir. 💣BACK + BUNZ + GUNZ💣 . With this belly getting bigger and the due date getting closer pushing myself to the max is getting harder and harder and not as safe as it was before 😬 . I'm starting to cramp when my body has had enough and it puts me on my butt for the rest of the day or week!🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ . So to keep things interesting and still pushing my body to it's very Pregnant limits 🤰🏽I'm switching up my routines a lil! Probably not going to add cardio anymore for the rest of the pregnancy and dropping my weight amount A TON!!! but I want to still keep my HR up! So I've been implementing supersets with 45sec to 1min breaks in between each superset and no rest in between workouts! . Still getting a good pump! And then if needed cutting back on weight, reps, sets, whatever I feel is needed 😁✌🏽 . Let me just put this out there. You aren't going to get abs by doing a 1,000 crunches, situps, planks, etc!!! People have the wrong mindset that this is how you develop your abs. The only thing you are doing by doing all of those workouts is strengthening your core and developing it to a larger expectation. The only way and hard way you're going to get abs is by DIET! What I mean by "diet" isn't cutting foods out, but more of eating the right foods and excercise daily and keeping to your plan. If you believe those scams of getting a 6 pack because of Abs workout. Then you are a fool. Make the path to your goal by even the most little steps you take. Never cut corners. Don't make yourself lose confidence and motivation because you dont see results after doing 1,000 crunches and etc. Work smarter, not harder. Unless you're pumping at the gym!!! Yesterday was back Friday 💪🏻 I do 3 sets X 13-15 I remember people would tell me to avoid weights because that would only make me “buff” and that muscles didn’t look good on a girl. I was told I wouldn’t lose any weight. I have found a balance in both cardio and weightlifting. Weightlifting is helping me shape my body the way I want it to be. While cardio, helping me shred these pounds. With that said, don’t ever not do something because someone said you shouldn’t! Wide, Defined Back Warm Up - Controlled Pull-Ups . Whats your favourite warm-up? 👌👌👌 . Love this warm up for my back days, I always make sure that when I'm lowering myself I keep it slow and engaged so that my back muscles are always contracting. It's simple and easy to do, plus if you aren't able to do a full set of pull ups yet you could always use resistance bands to help or use a pull up assisted machine. .
